HTH 8th Grade Scientists Shine at Long Island Science Congress

On April 20, the Cradle of Aviation Museum served as the backdrop for a remarkable display of student achievement as all 29 members of the Howard T. Herber 8th grade science research class competed in the Long Island Science Congress Junior Division.
Throughout the day, our students stood alongside their peers from across Long Island to present the culmination of months of intensive research, experimentation and analysis. The event provided a professional platform for these young researchers to demonstrate their scientific acumen, answering rigorous questions from judges and explaining the complex methodologies behind their findings.
The creativity and ingenuity on display were a testament to the hard work these students have dedicated to their elective research curriculum. Whether exploring environmental solutions, behavioral studies, or physical sciences, each student represented our district with poise and intellectual curiosity.
While official results and awards are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, the successful completion and presentation of these projects is a significant milestone in their academic careers.
Congratulations to our researchers on this impressive accomplishment!
