HTH Science Research Students Earn Honors at LISEF Competition

Seventeen students from the district’s 8th Grade Science Research class recently competed in the Long Island Science & Engineering Fair’s Thermo Fisher Young Innovators Challenge. Among 95 projects presented by middle school researchers from across the region, two student teams earned Honorable Mention for their creative and original research.
The recognition highlights the students’ commitment to scientific inquiry, problem-solving and innovation as they explored topics through the research process.
The district is proud of the work and dedication shown by these young scientists and looks forward to the next opportunity for them to showcase their research. On March 26, all 29 students in the program will present 15 projects at the SAAWA Middle School Science Research Competition, where they will continue to share their findings and represent the district.
