Herber Robotics Team Excels in the VEX V5 Robotics Competition
On Feb. 13, the Herber Robotics team competed in the VEX V5 Robotics Competition at Vaughn College – and they represented Malverne with pride!
Our 7th graders held a Top 10 ranking for much of the day and earned a Top 10 alliance spot in eliminations, while our 8th graders also advanced to the elimination round with strong strategy and resilience.
For all five students, this was their first-ever competition and their performance earned them an invitation to the State Championships, which was unfortunately cancelled due to the blizzard. Still, an incredible accomplishment!
Come see their robots in action at District STREAM Night on March 31. We are so proud of their hard work, teamwork and growth – the future is bright at Herber!
